After university, John spent a year worm digging along the North Norfolk coast and a lot of the knowledge that he learnt then he puts to good use now as he hunts the shifting shoals of bass, mullet and sea trout. This is an engaging coastline, constantly challenging, constantly changing, constantly demanding to be fished with imagination and ingenuity. Over the past couple of years, John has put huge efforts into exploring and expanding his knowledge and now, at last, he is confident that given the conditions, he will be able to find you the fish.
Fisherman’s valley is also fortunate to have teamed up with James of Norfolk etc., perhaps the most knowledgeable skipper for miles around and also, Tim Gaunt-Baker, leading light of Hardy Greys Game Fishing Academy. When Tim comes out with us, he can teach the sea fly fishing skills that you will need for either the North Norfolk coast, the west of Ireland, the Seychelles and everywhere in between. If you need your double hauling technique sharpened, Tim is the man.
Catch or not, you will learn oodles. And what a place to learn. You’ll be fishing in the centre of one of the top birding sites in the country. Sea otters. Seals. And, of course, some of the most haunting seashore that the UK can offer.
